HITLER OAK: KILL IT OR PRESERVE IT?
Should a tree in Poland planted to honour Hitler and still living despite the devastation all around it be cut down or left in place? I say leave it; we need all the trees we have and then some.

Leave it there and re-dedicate it to the victims (all nationalities and groups)of WWII.

Sear however is rather more racist in his assesment of the situation.
Cut the fucker down and burn it.
Then have some Holocaust survivors plant a grove of trees as their own memorial - turn the ashes from the other tree into the ground.

Rededicate it to all those who were murdered by Hitlerism. That's how you deal with items of symbolic importance - ridicule their old gods, set up your church in their temples, and get on with it.
The tree itself is just a tree. Why cut it down? Maybe if someone or some group was actually using it as a shrine of remembrance to that monster - but no one is, are they?

Its a fucking tree - just leave it alone!
It's not the poor tree's fault it was planted in Hitler's honour. I agree with Alex - I think they should just rededicate it to the victims of the Holocaust.
