Perhaps the dumbest line of the century from Julian Assange's stepfather:
He's been nominated for a Nobel Prize so how could he be a criminal?It takes only two words to discredit that particular line of reasoning: Yasser Arafat.

The answer to that question is "We don't yet know. We have to wait until he wins."
Well, I had exactly the same thought and posted it on Tim Blair before reading it here.
It seems plenty of others thought it as well, echoing 'my' comment.

People tend to forget that Adolf Hitler was also nominated for a Nobel Peace Prize...
Two more words: Al Gore.
Hitler was nominated for the Nobel prize in 1939 as well.
