Excuses for the disaffected and disconnected

By now most of you have seen news reports of the little girl in the states who ran amock, eventually to be hand-cuffed and hauled away by the police. I have no idea why she went off. Neither does the Washington Post's William Raspberry but that doesn't stop him speculating up a heap of blame. The op/ed's headline says it all:

Responsibility shirked, blame allocated.
