ANCIENT FOOTPRINTS FOUND
The accepted wisdom that humans have only been in the Americas for about 12,500 years looks to be wrong:

British scientists say they have identified what appears to be the earliest human footprints so far discovered on the American continent.It seems that humans must have traveled to the Americas by boat, not overland as we we're taught in school. Ain't it funny how science "facts" change over time?
The footprints were discovered in an abandoned quarry in Mexico.
They say they appear to have been made some 40,000 years ago.

Oh, my, this is another shot into the hull of current anthropology theories. If confirmed, it's right up there with the Kennewick Man.
