In Zimbabwe famine is looming as the economic crisis brings business to a halt and hits families who can no longer get basic food items like salt, flour and sugar.Classic genocide.
Aid agencies say up to four million people in Zimbabwe will need food aid in the coming year, yet the Zimbabwean Government continues to deny that the country is in meltdown.

Oi! My brain hurts after reading that DU thread. The one sole rational voice was a red cross volunteer who (correctly) points out that the Red Cross is a non-combatant agency made of people. People who aren't bulletproof, by the way.
Can't say as I blame the Red Cross one little bit.
As for the National Guard restricting access.....that makes sense. Crime control, disease prevention, protection of property, to name a few reasons. But I doubt that they are denying access. More likely, they are controlling access.
The real problem is, how do you justify entering the city? It's a double road block, and likely is slowing things up a lot.
But if you start seeing Red Cross volunteers floating face down in the water after being shot by thugs, there'll be a lot fewer volunteers.
This is frustrating, but not a planned act of genocide.
Jeez, those DU folks need to increase their medication.
