TITILLATING NEWS
Perpetual complainer Tracee Hutchison whines about TV news-presenters' ostentatious displays of flesh:
There's not a woman — or man — alive that doesn't know the power of cleavage. And the reason cleavage is so often overstated — and over-represented — in TV news reporting is because news reporters and presenters are rarely seen in anything other than a medium close-up — filmed from just below the breastline up. For this reason breasts, and how much or how little they are seen, tend to dominate the frame of vision, quite literally. As a consequence breasts end up looming very large in TV newsrooms. Now I don't pay much attention to TV news but can't recall seeing any presenter's cleavage, ever.

Traceeee sounds like a prude. I thought that the left was all about free love?
I thought that showing flesh was a method of female empowerment, taking control of their sexuality and not having it covered up and rationed out by men. Or was that just last year's theory?
In any case, when it comes to plunging necklines and the occasional faux-dominatrix outfit, the main offenders are the ABC and SBS, in my experience. Traceeeeee may need to have a little chat with the sisterhood.
Heh, point taken, rod! Both points, although I had to scrub my eyeballs with bleach after seeing Traceee's, ummmm, "cleavage".
