Nazi Jews nonsense
Nazi Germany's Gestapo (Geheime Staatspolizei, Secret State Police) was created by Hermann Göring and eventually controlled by Heinrich Himmler. The Gestapo was outside the judicial system, was not subject to administrative review and operated with impunity without regard to individual's rights.
It is beyond reasonable for Antony Loewenstein, in a post titled "Israel’s Gestapo cranks up to find traitors in their midst", to liken Israeli Military Intelligence to Nazi Germany's totally ruthless secret police.
Such hyperbolic nonsense should disqualify Loewenstein as a commentator on matters relating to Israel but it's highly likely the ABC, Crikey and other biased outlets will continue to publish his rubbish.
Update A first for Loewenstein:

Just had interview with Sydney Islamic station http://bit.ly/gV5z4w - first Jew in the studio, I'm told - and we discussed Palestine etcFancy Loewenstein being the first "Jew" in the studio at an Islamic radio station.

Now let's get this right. Loewenstein was interviewed on Muslim Radio and they let a Jew into the studio to interview him?

I also think Loewenstein is such an attention seeking media-whore, that if he received a phone call from Muammar Gadaffi's personal in-house TV network to do an interview, he'd be on the first flight.
Funny thing is I received a tweet from the radio station that said this was the first time they had the descendant of a pig and monkey in the studio at the same time.
I have it on the best authority that they were going to have Bob Brown in once, but their account at National Crane was overdrawn.

Antony's claims to be 'credible' and 'unbiased' is swiftly shredded. He pontificates about Sri Lanka and best of all supported a boycott of a local literary festival - so much for 'free speech'.
