UN to go Rambo on Congo militias

Tough talk:
United Nations peacekeepers in the Democratic Republic of Congo say they will now act to disarm militias in the eastern province of Ituri who failed to meet a deadline to surrender their weapons.

Col Mahmoud said the militias had committed an appalling catalogue of rape, murder and hideous mutilations.

"We will go after them, we will take them," he said.

But Col Mahmoud did not say when the UN forces would act.
Soon?

It is a matter of priority: First sex without protection with the Congolese, then protection of the Congolese.
