A message for the troops in Iraq

Bernard Weiner, Ph.D., academic and a former writer/editor with the San Francisco Chronicle, and currently co-editor of The Crisis Papers, wants US forces in Iraq to know he's behind them all the way but:

Nobody wants to die for a mistake (or for a bad policy decision), but until the U.S. finds a quick way out of Iraq, that's the position you and your buddies are placed in over there.

US forces will be cheered to know Dr Weiner supports them.

Dr Weiner also wrote Germany In 1933: The Easy Slide Into Fascism, published in 2003. The first line is as follows:

If my email is any indication, a goodly number of folks wonder if they're living in America in 2003 or Germany in 1933.

Gee, wonder if he mostly gets emails from lefties?
