Poison gas attacks alleged

The Taliban is accused of attacking school girls with poison gas:

Scores of Afghan schoolgirls were knocked unconscious or made ill over the weekend by suspected poison gas attacks on their schools and authorities are blaming insurgents who oppose educating girls.

Middle East expert Antony Loewenstein somehow manages to ignore this alleged attack on little girls while making a big deal about an alleged poison gas assault on his beloved Hamas. By the way Antony, strictly speaking, Egyptians aren't Arabs.

Strictly speaking, Antony Loewenstein doesn't know squat about the Middle East.

In his post, Loewenstein also infers Israel was responsible, claiming the gassing was by "Mubarak’s Egypt, doing the dirty work of Israel and America and laughing all the way to the corrupt bank".

A blood libel from this clueless blogger.

Egyptian are Arabs (members of Palestinian elite are commonly educated in Cairo, and former Egyptian president Gamal Abdel Nasser was well known for his pan-Arabism).
But that's in the past, Gaza is now a foreign territory to Egypt who are entitled to protect their borders from unathorised crossings. Antony doesn't like crowd control gas, I guess he should explain what method he prefers.

Let's see if he allows this comment through:

The Hamas Interior Ministry later said in a statement the gas used to try to clear the tunnel was poisonous. Besides those killed, six people were injured, it said.

If it was so poisonous, why didn't all 10 die?

The "crowd control" gas was probably tear gas.

If they dropped a Chinese tear gas grenade into the tunnel near the smugglers, the effects wouldn't have been pleasant. Perhaps the Chinese are to blame rather than the Israelis?

Don't worry. Hamas will ensure they are killed later, their deaths to be blamed on Israel and faithfully reported by a culpable media.

I'm sure Loewenstein will report about it...
