Election 2010: Another day, another damaging leak

Someone well placed within the Labor hierarchy has leaked information regrading Julia Gillard's non-attendance at national security meetings:

Prime Minister Julia Gillard says it is offensive to suggest she does not take national security matters seriously.

Ms Gillard has confirmed that a junior staffer, Andrew Stark, attended some meetings of the National Security Committee of Cabinet (NSCC) in her absence.

The Prime Minister will not say how many meetings she missed but says Mr Stark took notes for her and was not acting on her behalf.

It's safe to assume that Gillard must have missed a few meetings – had she missed one or two she surely would have told us.
