Activists Leaned On

When Carnita Matthews sentence was overturned there was a 'culturally diverse' group outside the court, chanting "Allah Akhbar" and getting in punch-ups with media and bystanders. A 'culturally appropriate' manner, according to their representative.

That crutch looks like a weapon. Not a walking aid. Maybe Allah healed him?

"according to their representative"

Hopper is the lawyer for Matthews. I don't think he represents the glee squad. The impression I had at the time was the lawyer was less than impressed by their antics outside the court and the comment "culturally appropriate" was wry. Not that I want to defend him, though.

NSW are looking to pass Burhka removal laws for police to prevent a repeat of this crap.

No doubt there will be more outrage to follow.
