It's possible alright.
I've been there when a bloke was stabbed (twice). He didn't know it until the hospital staff examined him & told him:
"Mate, we think you've been stabbed!"
Neither did any of the dozen or so eyewitnesses know he'd been stabbed.
It was a serious injury, his liver had been penetrated, and he was in a coma for several days.
