DENMARK SUPPORT GROWING

The Czech Foreign Minister Cyril Svoboda wants the EU to consider financial support for Denmark as a counter to the Islamic boycott:
"One of the concrete forms of our support could be a financial compensation from the EU for a negative impact on exports and trade of Danish products."
In related news, European Commission President Jose Manuel Barroso has spoken out on the cartoon controversy in an interview in – this is surely no coincidence – the Jyllands-Posten:
"We are in favour of a dialogue, but that does not mean that we will give up on the values that are non-negotiable."
Now we'll have to wait and see if Europeans hold their nerve.

The same EUObserver article also mentions another controversial cartoon:
Meanwhile, Australian cartoonist Michael Leunig has published the first holocaust cartoon on an Iranian website asking the question "what is the limit of western freedom of expression?"
It would be interesting to hear from Leunig on the death threats he's received from offended Jews.
