MORE HURRICANES, FEWER HURRICANES
A few days back, NASA climate scientist James E. Hansen accused the Bush administration – in particular, the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration – of muzzling global warming researchers:
"It seems more like Nazi Germany or the Soviet Union than the United States."No doubt many lefty science types sacrificed their lives spiriting this past the NOAA censors:
The strongest hurricanes in the present climate may be upstaged by even more intense hurricanes over the next century as the earth's climate is warmed by increasing levels of greenhouse gases in the atmosphere. Although we cannot say at present whether more or fewer hurricane will occur in the future with global warming, the hurricanes that do occur near the end of the 21st century are expected to be stronger and have significantly more intense rainfall than under present day climate conditions. This expectation... is based on an anticipated enhancement of energy available to the storms due to higher tropical sea surface temperatures. As it turns out, the global-warming-causes-more-and-stronger-cyclones schtick is just that:
Climate change can't be blamed for any of the events that made the past tropical cyclone season the worst in recent times, a report by a group of international experts says.Lefties aren't too good at that fact from fiction differentiation stuff.

I think the authors of the Article said it best themselves - "Although we cannot say at present whether more or fewer hurricane will occur in the future."
Kinda reminds me of the other evening i was walking home from work, slight drizzle, caught the evening weather report on the radio, 'Chance of a shower this evening', hellooo look out the window woman.
I'm no expert on weather, but what appears clear to me is the experts cannot tell us whether it's going to rain tomorrow or the day after, let alone tell us if there will be more hurricanes or less.
Has Tim Lamberts head exploded yet?
