GREAT MOMENTS IN SCIENCE

The ABC's Jennifer Macey cites expert opinion on the ever increasing carbon dioxide content of the atmosphere:
[CSIRO research scientist Dr Paul] Fraser says CO2 emissions caused by the burning of fossil fuels in power stations or in transport are now higher than what has been recorded in the past 1,000 years.
He might as well have said they're the highest in the history of Earth. I mean, humans have been large scale users of hydrocarbons for what, 200 years?
