The Indonesian daily Rakyat Merdeka (People's Freedom) ran this cartoon on its front page earlier in the week. The caption reads "I want Papua!! Alex! Try to make it happen!"

That's President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono pleasuring himself with a Papuan. The Australian government has condemned the cartoon as tasteless and offensive. The Australian embassy in Jakarta has been advised to prepare for a possible backlash. No doubt the Indonesian government has also advised its Canberra embassy to be prepared. Hey, anything could happen.
