DEATH WISHED

The person placing this ad in a Pennsylvania newspaper is in for some real legal hassles and could well end up in jail:
May Obama follow in the footsteps of Lincoln, Garfield, McKinley and Kennedy.
Who's dumber, the ad placer or the newspaper employee who failed to catch the implication?

Makes you wonder about the right-o-sphere's indignation then about Homeland Security's warnings of a possible increase in violence from right-wing extremists...

Well, of what political stripe do you think the person who posted the ad is most likely to be?

"How ever do you think all the Leftoids got away with hanging & burning effigies of GWB for all those years and even writing movies fantasizing about his assassination?Do you mean like the mass preventative detentions (arrests)of demonstrators at the RBC in NYC in 04 and Colorado in '08?

Oh, and the assasin of Lincoln...a pro-Confederate gunman...

Re: the right-o-sphere's indignation at Homeland Security's recent warning's...I mean, the Rethuglicans created the totalitarian monster that is Homeland Security, and then get all upset when their Frankenstein turns on its creator's...go figure...

"So why on earth would you think a Confederate gunman from 1865 was representative of today's right wing?"Because the Confederate's, like today's right-wingers, are racist.

See how silly you were in wasting all that time typing..?

"Because the Confederate's, like today's right-wingers, are racist."

Brilliant. Absolutely brilliant. That's the kind of swift rebuttal that only comes today with a university education...

The left made a movie of Bush being on the receiving end of a bullet. That is apparently ok. When some nutter puts something oblique reference in an obscure paper it is world news. Always the double standard.

"Always the double standard."Er, maybe because the movie was a work of fiction...whereas the ad in the newspaper is a hoped for actual result...let me know if the Secret Service is investigating the movie...

"May Obama follow in the footsteps of Lincoln, Garfield, McKinley and Kennedy."

I thought it was funny.

Can just see some buddies coming up with the idea over a couple of beers, laying bets as to whether or not it'd go over the head of the editor. A prank to see how thick Our Esteemed Elders & Betters of the Press are these days.

I may steal that one, have a go at submitting it to the SMH and The Age.

Funny how Mr Indignant Leftoid here automatically assumes that said ad demonstrates the evil racist tendencies of the Right, rather than the utter stupidity of the editor.

"Can just see some buddies coming up with the idea over a couple of beers..."...So it was kind of a Brauekeller kind of...putsch...sort of discussion..?
