LIKE SEX OFFENDERS, COAL MINERS ARE DEPRAVED
An unanticipated increase in UK coal production draws a predictably hyperbolic response from NASA climate scientist James Hansen:
[The] UK will be a joke. It is moral turpitude, depravity, to build more coal-fired power plants or open coal mines, knowing what we know now. ... The UK would not be in a position to ask anybody else to do anything. This again points to the obvious question: if moving away from conventional energy sources is economically advantageous, why would any country need to be asked to make the move?
