Doctors fly to and from Australia for weekend work

So acute is the doctor shortage that New Zealand general practitioners are being flown in as locums for which they can earn up to AU$7,000 (US$6,100) for a weekend's work.

On the other hand, there will likely be too many medical school graduates:

There is concern Tasmanian medical graduates could be forced to drive taxis or work in fast food outlets, with an expected surge in student intake and not enough training places.

OH MY GOD! Australia's "best and brightest" might have to put off buying that Porsche.
