Master orator fails to persuade

Despite a crowd-pleasing oration from Antony Loewenstein – complete with a bogus reference to Israel's "Jewish only roads" – the Marrickville Council succumbed to reality in voting down participation in the anti-Israel Boycott, Divestment and Sanctions campaign.

Better that the Marrickville Council concentrate its attention on matters of local relevance rather than trying to determine Australia's foreign policy.

Fifty or so years ago Marrickville was occupied by newly arrived Italians, and their vehicle of choice was the Valiant.

Indeed, Sydneysiders' nickname for the Valiant was the "Marrickville Mercedes".

I guess the vehicle of choice now is a solar powered skateboard shaped like the head of a penis.

How much TNT could you pack into the boot of a Marrickville Mercedes before driving it into a kindergarten?

These are the questions that the local Hamas Boosters need to be asking.

Antony the chinless pot bellied no clue half wit latching onto an easy 'cool' cause gives his opinion at a council meeting.

His opinion should be restricted to his requirement for hard rubbish day. He might have a lot of old books to get rid of.

Sorry Dan you are correct - the yellow bin is the appropriate one. At least his trash excreta posing as 'books' will serve some use
