Nigger's kiss

A while back Slate had a lame article about ice creams with supposedly racist names. The article makes the following observation about Sweden's Nogger Black's marketing:
Sweden's Centre Against Racism points out that the logo is rendered graffiti-style, which would seem to suggest that the association with black urban culture is deliberate. My guess is that GB Glace thought it was being "edgy" by emulating black hipsters who use the N word (but who certainly wouldn't condone its enunciation by any pale-skinned Swede).
Yep, Sweden is just teeming with hip urban blacks. Anyway, Slate updated the story as follows:
In Germany, the top-selling ice cream novelty is a chocolate-covered vanilla ice cream pop, which is advertised with placards that stand on the sidewalk outside each shop showing an almost entirely naked African boy with an imbecilic grin, a huge bone jammed through his nose and every vicious stereotype of black facial characteristics ever used by the Nazis or any other hate group. The Negerkuss, a German ice cream treat similar to our Klondike bar, translates generously as "black man's kiss" and literally as "nigger's kiss." Astonishingly, when I would ask Germans about these marketing methods, they would accuse me of being wildly oversensitive.
Are those Germans whacky or what?

Bet they're not stupid enough to have any ice creams making fun of Middle Easterners. Like, you know, Mullah Macadamia – It's Nutty.

Update: Speaking of nutty - nuclear natural gas.

Yeah, it's pretty lame stuff. If you follow the first link you'll see they get all worked up about Dairy Queen's MooLatte because it's so close to mulatto. Big deal, hardly any Americans would have heard of "mulatto".

According to Wikipedia, Spanish-speakers do not find the word "mulatto" offensive though some English-speakers preferred the word "biracial".
Anyway, Moo-latte is coffee and milk = black and white = mulatto. Quite a good name I would have thought and that drink sounds delicious. Capuchino coffee is likewise named after the colour of the robes of the Capucino(?) munks.

Yes, I know "nigger" is a nasty word, which is why I mentioned that I have never heard it used with regard to "negro-kisses".

I need some sweets now!
