Rival travel guide magnates Mark Ellingham and Tony Wheeler have joined forces to help the environment. All future editions of their books will feature a warning about the impact of flying on global warming and suggest alternative modes of transport. Wheeler has somehow managed to cope with the knowledge that his frequent flying is killing the planet:

"I'm not going to stop but every time I jump on a plane I think, 'oh no, I'm doing it again.'"

Wheeler can stop worrying about it; air travel by those who speak out about global warming is actually good for the planet.

Save the whales! I'll have a whale burger with cheese.
