POPULAR JOURNALIST MAKES SILLY MISTAKE

Antony Loewenstein reviews José María Aznar's speech to the Lowy Institute:
Aznar’s talk was actually embarrassing. The fairly conservative group seemed to generally lap it up - one audience member asked the former prime minister if it was likely the West would “oomph it up” in the coming years against Islamic terror - but his analysis was shallow beyond belief. To glowingly quote George W. Bush’s “freedom agenda” and not acknowledge, let alone understand, the vast damage done to international relations since 2000 is living in a Murdoch-induced fantasy (Aznar is on the New Limited board.)
More embarrassing than anything Aznar said are Loewenstein's two references to "New Limited". I mean, as a journalist whose stuff has been published by News Ltd. he should be able to at least get the name right. Then again, this is Antony Loewenstein.

For frigsake, stop inflicting us with Loewenstein's pitiful drivel. It's painful to read although I see that he's recently advanced from writing at year 8 to year 9 school level. What sort of reputation did his English teacher have?

Maybe he should have written Limited News. It would have been appropriate.

I think far more embarrassing was his allegations that the US is the party responsible for the car bombings in Iraq!
