Ecuador offers Assange refuge
Sweden, recently touted as a possible home base for Wikileaks, has condemned the release of confidential diplomatic communications as making the world "less safe". There's also the little matter of Swedish prosecutors issuing an international warrant for the arrest of Wikileaks' attention-seeking founder Julian Assange, prosecutors aiming to make the world's women safe from the alleged predations of the allegedly safe sex-shunning former hacker.

Never fear Lefties, a "progressive" state has offered Assange refuge:
An Ecuadorean minister has offered residence in his country to Julian Assange, the reclusive founder of WikiLeaks, without conditions. Now there's a match made in heaven if ever there was one.
"We are ready to give him residence in Ecuador, with no problems and no conditions," Kintto Lucas, the deputy foreign minister, told the website Ecuadorinmediato on Monday.
"We are going to invite him to come to Ecuador so he can freely present the information he possesses and all the documentation, not just over the internet but in a variety of public forums."

I'm surprised the asswipe hasn't got any similar invitations from Al-Qaeda, Huge Chavez or President Madinthehead of Iran.

Thanks, Anonymous. SMH files Assanges arrest warrant under their technology news section. I would never have thought to look there.
Gee I genuinely hope no one offers the nice man 'refuge' inside a wood chipper. That would just be too bad.
I also wonder if that nice leader man in Pyongyang will give young Julian a nice house. That would be really good. Because Julian deserves to live in a total s$%$#ole and with any luck will not receive medical care (or food) if he ever needs it. But at least he will be with his anti western America hating mates doing all he can to damage democracy while leaving really evil countries alone. Because if he picked on nice countries like Iran, North Korea, China and Venezuela he would really be a nasty bully.
This is off-topic, but have you seen Ant's latest Rant? Taxpayer funded, of course, at "our" ABC.
Good God. Is English not the poor child's first language?

P.S. That attempt at a "Blue Steel" look scares me. The boy looks decidedly predatory.
