Wikileaks and Assange: women haters?
Wikileaks and Julian Assange's lawyer liken Swedish prosecutor Marianne Ny and the women pursuing charges as persecutors of an innocent. Perhaps it's time for Assange to clear the air by voluntarily turning himself in and returning to Sweden, where he once sought refuge. Smearing Assange's accusers just ain't gonna cut it as a defense.
Meanwhile, prosecutor Marianne Ny denies she has been pressured to pursue Assange.

Australian Greens Senator Sarah Hanson-Young on Twitter:
"Would the govt be talking about passports & charges if The Oz had got their hands on the leaks given to WikiLeaks first? I think not."

WikiLeaks *did* offer the Oz's News Corp stablemate the Wall Street Journal "first shot" at the cables. News Corp/WSJ turned them down.
I know we all love to hate the Oz, but this is a strange talking point for a Senator to be spreading isn't it?
There is no way that Assange is a woman hater. Anyone with such a powerful commitment to free speech and democracy is sure to be deeply feminist in his thinking as well.
The charges against him are clearly false, and the whole thing is a conspiracy. I mean, one of the women making the charges has links to the CIA! What more evidence do you need?
