What did Bolt know, and when did he know it?
The Alene Composta brouhaha refuses to die with moose authority Jeremy Sear, in a surprise move, today taking Andrew Bolt to task for... damn near everything other than the Vietnam war.
Hell, it's been an eventful week at work so I'm tired and ready to unwind and have already downed a few beers so Jeremy's latest hyperbolic rant sort of has me stumped.
Perhaps because Jonathan Green was the editor when Crikey took the PP boyz on board, Jeremy totally ignores Green's decision to publish and later stealthily remove Alene Composta's nonsensical rubbish.
Andrew Bolt, on the other hand, is accused of:

Andrew Bolt, on the other hand, is accused of:
- "abusing his power to bully the hell out of some vulnerable woman who wrote a personal political blog"
- participating in an "orgy of self-congratulation"
- "Fooling his own readers"
- "Engaging in political debate by bashing a straw-person version of his political opponents."
- "sending his keyboard warriors to mock and bully this apparently vulnerable woman"
- "Bolt revels in the deceit"
- And "when confronted with (apparently) a real person who has been misrepresented and (apparently) a victim of “identity theft”, what does he do? He mocks the victim.

Email it if you have to. This story is a classic.
Ha ha, sounds like Sears fully believes the 'real' Alene is the real and authentic author of those fully legitimate Wartol pages! Anyone with brains can see that is yet another spoof.
Three years ago Jeremy Sear published the name and photograph of an airport parking cop who upset him. Andrew Bolt asked: “Is this appropriate behavior for a lawyer? Will the Victorian Bar Council police its own?”
Jeremy now asks, in the aftermath of Bolt’s “bullying” of someone who doesn’t exist: “Does any of this represent appropriate behavior for a professional journalist? As Bolt himself would put it – will the Press Council police its own?”
He’s really lost it. He’s actually calling for Bolt to be investigated over his treatment of someone who isn’t real.
According to Jeremy Sear:
If this is a hoax, and Bolt now knows it’s a hoax, then why no criticism of the hoaxer who’s taken this other person’s image and used it for the purpose of mockery? Does Bolt think taking someone else’s face and pretending to be them is something to be encouraged?
Didn't Sear use a picture of Blackadder (Rowan Atkinson) exactly the same way back when he was Anonymous Lefty?
When PP started, the bloggers declared that they were looking for intellectual dishonesty, not only in conservative journalism, but on the left, too.
It was 'intellectually dishonest' at the time. At least now they have dropped any pretense of PP being anything more than a Bolt and friends hate site.
Jerry-Me working hard on giving the other 1% of lawyers a bad name.
Cheers
