Named and shamed

Crikey media analyst Jeremy Sear is aghast at the Herald Sun naming and shaming a Melbourne tram driver the paper accuses of "posting grossly offensive images and racist remarks on the internet."

This is a tad hypocritical coming from Jeremy, who in 2008 published the name, photo and employment details of a man who, in doing his job, riled the young barrister. Ain't it funny how Lefties think.

Update: Readers familiar with Pure Poison will no doubt note the irony in Jeremy titling his post "Herald Sun to start matching commenters’ IPs with their employment?" It was, after all, the Pure Poison crew of online sleuths who used a commenter's IP as "proof" for a bogus claim that Tim Blair was engaging in online skullduggery.

Jeremy now forbids mention of this screw up.

Does he never reflect on what he writes before he hits the submit button?

I am led to believe that Blume is invited to the wedding of Sear and Kedgie tomorrow. That they are actually very close friends of the trammie.

You didn't disclose that now did you Jezza?

Hmm I think that as opposed to Jeremy's own online spray against someone who was simply doing their job correctly ( and deflating Sear's pathological ego in the process ), someone who does what is described by the Herald below probably should be exposed;

"As well as pornographic images, the tram driver has posted pictures taken from behind the controls while his tram was in motion.

And he has posted photos of people involved in serious accidents, some involving his own tram.

"This is the best collision I ever had," he posts under a photo of his wrecked tram."

And as Jeremy is alleged to have had an education (seriously?), then my question (My Jeremy Question) is does he not realise that this story is legitimate public interest?

I really don't think he's ready to get married as your'e supposed to be a grown up first.

An absolutely embarassing moron

That tram driver has been posting vicous, disgusting things on his blog about a young child with cancer and his family. How could Yarra Trams employ a person with such an attitude to work with the public?

Any source for the claim that Blume is a "very close friend" of Sears and going to his wedding?

And wasn't Sears complaint about the airport official that he acted way outside his job to the extent they later withdrew the fine?

Yeah the wedding invite list.

I call bullshit. Why would anyone but them see a 'wedding invite list'? Who are you claiming to be, a close family friend who happens to read rwdb? Sure.

Yes. All Jeremy's friends read rwbd. You are proof of that.

"Wonder who anon at 10:19 pm might be"

Could it be the sort of hypocrite who complains about media ethics while posting anonymously on blogs that are critical of him?

Naah. No one could be that hypocritical.

Further to the above:

Andy Blume links to Anonymous Lefty, Groupthink and Scott Bridges blogs.

Last year Andy Blume listed Jeremy amongst a list of celebrities one of his readers predicted would die.

Such lovely friends the barrister has!

It would appear that wedding bells may be giving wat to alarm bells.
Mutton done up as pork has written this;
"It appears that organising a wedding, taking medication that affects your moods and a full time job are not conducive to blogging. I don’t know how Jeremy does it."

Jezza's judgement may currently be affected by the mood altering medication he's currently subjected to.
We should all give him something of a break. The wedding appears to have been too much for the poor man and he's in need of some chemical correction.

Yeah Jeremy no public interest in this. Nothing to see here move on, no reason this should be public....

"A TRAM driver being investigated for posting pictures taken from behind the controls of his moving tram is an occupational health and safety representative, Yarra Trams revealed yesterday.

Andy Blume, 33, is the deputy OHS representative at the Yarra Trams Southbank depot.

Despite his position as a safety officer, he faced a disciplinary hearing last month for using his mobile phone to take pictures while driving his tram and posting them on Twitter and his own blog."

Jezza you are olympic class stupid

"What a sad, SAD, little, LITTLE blog"

You mean as compared to Jeremy's online childish rants of a high school Marxist? or perhaps Kedge's blog titled something like "eating continuously" (evidently)? Please clear this up.

Compared to that trash this one is Pulitzer material.

It certainly lifts the scab on our leftist friends hypocrisy.

'Unprofessional jealousy, eh guys?'

As opposed to professional jealousy?

Jeremy constantly whines that any criticism of him (or his friends) is an underhanded attempt to link online activities to his (or their) professional conduct at work. He does this even when the connection is obvious or even when no one has implied any sort of connection.

Now here you are accusing people of being 'unprofessionally jealous'.
