Crooky
Vexnews noticed that Crikey has posted an article giving instructions on how to bypass the paywall at The Australian.

I've known about the work around for well over a year but had the decency not to tell anyone.
I wonder if they'd have done the same thing for a Fairfax publication?
In accord with what Jack Lacton said, I've also found that searching for keywords in the entry level story works a treat.
But not always. Not sure why, but google probably would be able to explain completely.
If they're that keen to read a newspaper without paying for it, they can also pick one up at their local newsagent's, walk to the back of the shop like they're checking out the tinned dog food, slip it under their shirts or in their pants, and walk out with it.
I should think that the folks at the Australian would be chuffed that their more fervent detractors would go to such lengths to read, and to make sure that others have a chance to read, what they have to say.
Seriously, would anyone go to such lengths to read the Silly were it behind a paywall?
Murdoch is living in their heads, rent free. Delicious.
One wonders if the same, or similar, work-around is possible on the Crikey site....
One then wonders, if such a work-around were made public, how many Crikey subscribers would opt for the fee-for-view services, or the 'free-for-view'....
