The eyes of Texas

The eyes of Texas aren't going to be happy if they see Sydney Blumnethal's latest Guardian contribution:

It's not easy for someone who's never travelled in America to grasp the evolution of the Bush family from north-east patricians into Texas Tories, and the dissolution of the New England character along the way, especially its sense of responsibility, duty and humility.

As a native Texan I take exception to such bullshit: real Texans are great folks. Kerry, a New Englander, has none of those qualities.
