UNPOPULARITY EXPLAINED

Despite his relentlees and shameless self-promotion, author and journalist Antony Loewenstein's readership remains small. Here he explains why:
...the public has an uncanny knack of fingering a liar, no matter how much spin is deployed to cover uncomfortable facts.
There's also the little matter of lack of writing talent. Click the link above to read an attempted Ant book review. Reading it'll lower your IQ by at least 10 points.

Update: Ant is unhappy with the the Australian Jewish News for allegedly baseless anti-Fiskism:
In a lecture to an audience at Macquarie University last week, Fisk stopped just millimetres short of suggesting that Israel was the cause of the 9/11 attacks. The audience reportedly (and predictably) showered him in accolades.
Ant responds:
In fact, Fisk said the complete opposite on many occasions - and during my interview with him afterwards - and stressed that Israel had no involvement in the crimes against humanity on September 11.
Cause and involvement are, of course, two totally different things. I'll take it on faith that Fisk isn't silly enough to subscribe to the 9/11 conspiracy theories involving Israel but he does link the 9/11 attacks to America's relationship with Israel. He does this very early in the speech as part of his "why" 9/11 spiel. It's nothing more than a quick off hand sort of mention but more than enough to plant the root causes seed in the audience's mind. (I listened to about a third of Fisk's presentation but his I-know-the-truth-and-you-don't schtick gets old real quick.)

Ironically, the title of Ant's post is "Why let truth get in the way?" Indeed.

Update: Forgot to include the link to Fisk's talk. It's here.
