BAD NEWS FOR HAMAS

Ever thoughtful, the US wants Palestinian security forces to be fashionably attired and driving new cars when they're doing their security thing -- it's a self-esteem thing:
The United States Government is to provide more than $A100 million to strengthen the security forces loyal to the Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas and his moderate Fatah party.

The funding, which must be approved by Congress, will pay for training and what US officials describe as non-lethal equipment including uniforms and vehicles.
The guns and ammo were delivered earlier:
Forces loyal to Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas have received an arms shipment from Egypt with Israeli approval.

A senior Israeli military official, Amos Gilad, said the shipment aimed to reinforce the "forces of peace" against the "forces of darkness".
Hamas is, of course, accusing the US of fueling a Palestinian civil war. That may be true but there will be no civil war without at least two sides wanting to fight.
