Assange lawyer threatens Palin legal action

Robert Stary, Julain Assange's Australian lawyer, fears for his employer's safety:
We've been troubled by the sort of rhetoric that has come out of various commentators and principally Republican politicians — Sarah Palin and the like — saying Mr. Assange should be executed, assassinated.
Legal action is a distinct possibility:
Certainly if Sarah Palin or any of those other politicians come to Australia, for whatever purpose, then we can initiate a private prosecution, and that's what we intend to do.
So what exactly did Palin threaten?
On her Facebook page, Palin suggests that Assange should be "pursued with the same urgency as al-Qaida and Taliban leaders."
Considering that Palin is almost single-handedly responsible for the rising tide of American violence that veiled threat cannot be taken lightly.

I love all this ‘private prosecution’ stuff the Lefty-lawyers throw around – the citizen’s arrests are even better. Remember George ‘Moonbat’ Monbiot’s attempt to arrest Tony Blair as a war criminal? Priceless.

Come on Rob, let’s arrest Palin if she ever comes to Australia. I’ll bring the handcuffs – I reckon you’d enjoy that. Imagine it Rob, there she is all helpless, handcuffed….There’s something about Sarah really gets you guys on the Left a bit trousery isn’t there?

SARAH PALIN!!!!!111!!!eleventy!!!!

Is there nothing that woman can't do? ;-)

Mate, I can't see her as President of the United States, but -- far canal -- if she's that much of a Global Force that she can sit up there in Alaska or wherever and cause Lefty heads to explode here Down Under, you've got to agree she's good value and I don't care who you are.

What is she, the spawn of Chuck Norris and a Poley Bear or something?

So Palin states that he should be persued like a taliban leader. Any that have been captured are still alive, so unless the international girly man of mystery intends a gunfight to prevent capture, one would believe that would mean arrest and prosecution.

Any Lawyer presenting this case should be disbarred for stupidity.

This is absolutely ridiculus. The article says that Sarah Palin said that Assange should be executed or assassinated, but just quoted her to say he should be persued like the Taliban or Al Qaeda. These are not the same statements. Also, as a conservative American I find it offensive that Palin is blamed for the alleged increase in violence. That's crazy. What's your proof that anything Sarah Palin (or anyone else) has done or said has EVER caused any violence at all-- and what's your proof that there has been an increase in violence in the States, anyway? These assertions are outrageous. For the record, I hope Assange is forced to come here to The United States to face justice and charged with espionage. He needs to learn that he can't spread any nation's secrets to the rest of the world. He needs to stop playing the victim and take responsibility for his actions.
