Antony Loewenstein demands:
Antony is on the Advisory Council of the Sri Lanka Campaign for Peace and Justice. Just check out the photo and the other professional head-tilty rent-seekers handing out unsolicited advice to Sri Lanka (run out of the UK mind you). It's amazing the lengths some people have to go to, to get laid.
It's also interesting that Antony feels the Tamils are entitled to their own state, whereas the Jews aren't.
While Sri Lanka shuns interest in human rights we must shun themEither Antony wants us to shun human rights or someone needs to teach that best-selling author how to write.

I learnt a new word by following those links. "Fluffer"

Antony Loewenstein is s fluffer.
Hang about, Lieutenant Dan. You banged on the other day about how 'x' and 'y' were anti-Semitic because they focused exclusively on Israel and didn't complain about governments or human rights issues elsewhere. Bang goes that theory.
Also, please provide a link to where Loewenstein says that Israel is not entitled to exist as a state. Because I have a sneaking suspicion you're making this crap up.
Fluffers for terrorist groups come in many guises, but they all have some key attributes.
– They’re not from the same ethnic groups as the terrorists,
– They never take risks with their own lives,
– They’re usually a long way away from the terrorist’s area of operations,
– They use ‘human rights’ to defend the terrorist’s activities.
What an idiotic comment, geofff.
Calling for terrorists to be treated fairly and appropriately by recognised systems of justice is NOT an act of support or comfort to their ideology. The rule of law and due process is what separates, or should separate, governments and terrorists in the first place.
It would be great if you wingnuts could abandon this shoot-em-all-and-let-God-sort-them-out approach, and try to develop patterns of thought that go beyond absolute concepts of right and wrong. But I'm not hopeful.
Loewenstein is an open advocate of the "one stste solution" and has been for years. That comes in various forms, depending on what manner of racist arsehole terrorist lover is spouting this war thirsty muck, but they all have one thing in common -- the destruction of the Jewish state and the robbing of all its surviving citizens of all their civil and human rights.
I asked for evidence, not for cheerleaders.
Do you really think that Loewenstein would be on the side of the Tamil Tigers if they weren't bloodthirsty racists, devoted masskillers of innocent people who invented the art of suicide terrorism and the Singhalese were Muslim?
Easy

All I did was Google : antony loewenstein one state solution
And got 23000 results

Next time you can do your own research
Loewenstein advocates a one-state solution, based on self-determination and free elections. He does not call for or advocate the eradication of the state of Israel, as does Hamas.
So you seem to think that a one-state solution amounts to the destruction of Israel. Elsewhere, Comrade Danny-Boy - who is fond of posting but not so keen on defending his posts when challenged - has elsewhere commented that the Palestinians don't deserve their own state.
So then... what is the official mandated RWDB plan for peace in the Middle East? Something tells me it's 'kill everyone wearing a towel'.
'John',
You banged on the other day about how 'x' and 'y' were anti-Semitic because they focused exclusively on Israel and didn't complain about governments or human rights issues elsewhere. Bang goes that theory.
The double standard is quite apparent, despite your attempt to verbal me. Loewestein's occasional reference to topics other than Israel-bashing are fairly pathetic attempts at diversity, when in essence he's a one trick pony. His other books were an abject failure, prompting him to re-write his first one. He's the sort of Jew only an antisemite could love and has capitalised on that market.
Perhaps you might take up your issue with Andrew Bolt and many others who've called him on comments which are completely antisemitic, despite his belief that being Jewish somehow makes him incapable of such a charge.
Then again, as he's not wearing an "Antisemite and Proud" t-shirt I doubt you'll ever accept he could be one.
John digs deeper: please provide a link to where Loewenstein says that Israel is not entitled to exist as a state. Because I have a sneaking suspicion you're making this crap up.
Really? Why? What would be my motivation?
Here's Antony Loewenstein on his own website: "As a Jew who doesn't believe in the concept of a Jewish state - a fundamentally undemocratic and colonialist idea from a bygone era - reception to such ideas within the Jewish community is usually vitriolic, bigoted, racist and downright pathetic."
Antony's never been much good at dealing with his critics. On his website any dissenting comments are deleted immediately.

So according to you, he's not really interested in the government slaughter of LTTE suspects, he's just feigning an interest so he won't look too Israel-focused (and therefore anti-Semitic). I applaud your ability to read his mind and know his motives.
Perhaps you might take up your issue with Andrew Bolt and many others who've called him on comments which are completely antisemitic, despite his belief that being Jewish somehow makes him incapable of such a charge.
Of course it's nonsensical to say that being a Jew excludes you from any allegations of anti-Semitism. The founder of Hitler's SS was, I believe, part-Jewish. I'm not aware that Loewenstein has ever used that defence; if he has, it is implausible.

I suspect what he's arguing there is that states should be formed around consensus, self-determination and popular sovereignty, rather than on the basis of race and/or religion. Which while a fair point, ignores the fact that those things tend to bind people together, and thus they tend to influence the formation of states anyway.
Arguing that 'there should be no Jewish state' is not quite the same as 'there should be no state of Israel'. The problem is how you can have the latter without it also being the former. This is why I favour the two-state solution.
Antony's never been much good at dealing with his critics. On his website any dissenting comments are deleted immediately.
If he's deleting abuse (from you perhaps) then that's partly understandable. But it would do him credit if he took on dissenting commentary, rather than just letting through back-slappers.
Simple. The Arabs should stop trying to exterminate the Jews and impose their totalitarian state over the land.
And people in the West should stop encouraging them. It doesn't help anybody. Least of all the Palestinians. That's so obvious it is astounding it even needs to be said.
Right, so it's one-sided situation and to fix it, all the Arabs have to stop being naughty. If only you'd have been at all those Camp David meetings, geofff, they'd have sorted it all long ago.
Careful Geoff, if you confuse or humiliate little John, he'll be forced to threaten you with violence (hilariously) albeit with creepy rectal overtones. But he'll have to get you into his study first. All day/night on the internet rehashing far left memes and playing the man he can't be in real life. Almost like....a tag team.
If he/she hypothetically admins a blog maybe he/she should let a few dissenting opinions through - might show some actual balls.
"Arguing that 'there should be no Jewish state' is not quite the same as 'there should be no state of Israel'."
Oh yeah..here we go. Such nuance. Or psychosis.
"If he's deleting abuse (from you perhaps) then that's partly understandable"
Maybe the same rules should apply to you John boy. Do your parents know you have the computer?
"foxy", unlike geofff and even Dan, you lack the ability to discuss and debate without becoming entirely abusive and hysterical. So much so that if you were female, I'd suggest you log off and look for your Tampax.
I'm not interested in your whining. Get back to your Playstation and porn.
Oh tampon insults, excellent. This on top of bottom talk and threats. I think the only hysteria I've seen is when you lost your rag last night and threw an angry tantrum like a schoolgirl.
In case you missed the pattern, which is likely, and I doubt you'll get it -
"The Tamil Tigers of Sri Lanka are (or were) undoubtedly one of the most organized, effective and brutal terrorist groups in the world. They invented the suicide vest and, according to the FBI, are the only terrorist group to have assassinated two world leaders.
http://www.time.com/time/world/article/0,8599,1869501,00.html#ixzz1jnvamqqE"
But wait there's more. Seeing that pattern now? Mmmm?
"The LTTE has bombed public buildings and transportation hubs, Buddhist temples and other locations, and is known for missions involving female suicide bombers and for recruitment of child soldiers"
http://www.time.com/time/world/article/0,8599,1869501,00.html#ixzz1jnxvOctv
I know exactly who the LTTE are and what they have done, so the patronising instruction is unnecessary. Try re-reading what I have said previously and see if you can respond to that, rather than what you imagine I might have said.
I think the patronising instruction is neccessary, as you don't seem to grasp simple concepts. Also you seem to imagine quite a lot of things no one has ever said here, perhaps you should provide some evidence. (crickets chirping)
"what is the official mandated RWDB plan for peace in the Middle East? Something tells me it's 'kill everyone wearing a towel'"
That's quite nasty really little John, and not borne out by any evidence - you know, what you keep 'demanding'.(chortle)
BTW I think fluffer is such a nice descriptor.
Stay frosty, John
BTW I think fluffer is such a nice descriptor.
Actually I had to use Google to find out what it meant. Having done so, I'm not at all surprised that you are familiar with it.
His interest in Sri Lanka is not evidence that he does not have a monomania about Israel.
In the earliest article I have found by him about Sri Lanka he is simply using the situation there as an excuse to attack Israel:
http://www.dailystar.com.lb/Law/Oct/08/Neither-Sri-Lanka-nor-Israel-should-have-impunity-in-their-wars-on-terror.ashx#axzz1jqNtSocB
My vocab exceeding yours is not a huge surprise John.
Nice job staying on topic and discussing the big issues and providing evidence of your statements.
(crickets still chirping)
